Den Berk Délice Wins Voka Entrepreneurship Award 2025 – A Story of Friendship, Courage, and Teamwork

Last night, we proudly received the Entrepreneurship Award 2025 from Voka – Chamber of Commerce Mechelen-Kempen. This is a special recognition for what we at Den Berk Délice work on every day: growing sustainable, flavorful tomatoes with passion, innovation, and respect for people and nature.

The beginning of a story

Den Berk Délice didn’t start as a large company, but as a dream shared by four grower friends: Paul Van de Mierop, Koen Lauwerysen, Luc Beirinckx, and Hans Van Gool. Their shared passion for tomatoes, mutual trust, and entrepreneurial spirit laid the foundation for what has become a leading company today. What began as a collaboration between four grower friends has grown into a business that stands for innovation, sustainability, and quality.

Thanks to their vision and courage, they were able to follow a growth path that has brought Den Berk Délice to where it stands today.

But, in the words of the founders themselves: “We are not writing this success story alone.” It is the result of teamwork, trust, and the hard work of over 1,000 employees.
