In January 2022, I received an unexpected phone call. And what a call it was... I was contacted by a recruiter for the position of Payroll Coordinator at Den Berk Délice. At that time, I had already been working for 6 years at Special Fruit as a Payroll Specialist. The activities of Special Fruit, like those of Den Berk Délice, are in the AGF sector. So, Den Berk Délice was not an unfamiliar company to me. Of course, I had already heard positive things about this company through various channels.

After the phone call, I naturally started thinking about what I still wanted to achieve in my career. I quickly noticed that there were not really any growth opportunities at Special Fruit and that I had reached my ceiling there. After some good conversations with Den Berk Délice, it was on June 1, 2022, that my first day as a Payroll Coordinator at Den Berk Délice arrived. I immediately felt at home and was immediately embraced by the Den Berk Délice family.
In the first few weeks, I visited the 9 different locations. Everyone, and I mean everyone, welcomed me warmly. Moreover, they took the time to get to know me and told me all about the ins and outs of tomato cultivation. For example, I had never heard of the ToBRFV virus, oops... In the first weeks, I learned a lot, but from then on, I jumped right in.
After about 2 weeks, colleagues already knew how to find me, and that makes it very nice to gain that trust so quickly. Everyone within our organization is very accessible, whether it's a board member or a director sitting at the table, the conversations always remain the same.
And it's precisely that positive vibe that is so remarkable.
