I joined Den Berk Délice through my brother Rob and sister Loes. Both of them had been active within the company for several years. They always spoke highly of their jobs and the company. Although I was working as a machine builder at Heecon at the time, their stories interested me greatly. After a few job interviews with different people from Den Berk Délice and a lot of contemplation, it became clear to me that I also wanted to work at Den Berk Délice. I started as a Harvest Team Leader. I was responsible for the entire harvest process, including personnel planning, production forecasts, monitoring the harvest process, and processing the harvested product for shipment to customers. It was a challenging and diverse set of tasks.
In the past 4.5 years, I have been able to further develop myself with the support of Den Berk Délice.
In the past 4.5 years, I have been able to further develop myself with the help of Den Berk Délice, and I am currently the Harvest Team Leader, Head of Technical Services, and Energy Manager for our Lauwerysen-Krijnen location. This means that, along with my assistants, I manage the entire labor organization, am responsible for the daily maintenance of the installations and addressing any malfunctions that occur. Additionally, I handle the energy aspect by monitoring the daily energy market and implementing the appropriate strategy to reduce energy costs. This is a versatile but certainly interesting and challenging role.
The company offers many growth opportunities at all levels. If there is potential, it will certainly be discussed. You sit down at the table together, and the possibilities are explored. It's great that this is discussed with you. From there, a plan of action is drawn up, and if necessary, this plan is adjusted. I also had the opportunity to learn a lot from colleagues with a lot of experience in the roles I had newly acquired. For instance, I was assigned a mentor when I started as a Harvest Team Leader. I could always consult this colleague when I needed help. Den Berk Délice also provides many external training opportunities. If I came across an interesting course that could be positively applied to my tasks, I was allowed to attend it after approval from my supervisor.
I look forward to my future at Den Berk Délice and am grateful for the opportunities I have been given to grow and learn.
